Episode 19: Food Insecurity and Homelessness — A Complex Breakdown
Christie Lind
Director of Strategic Initiatives | The Mississauga Food Bank | She/Her
Christie made the move into the non-profit sector in 2020 after working for 10 years in marketing and food & beverage in New York City. She is driven by the inequities she has witnessed between her corporate career and her community, where she developed a passion for addressing food insecurity. As Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Mississauga Food Bank, she is involved in interdepartmental projects to improve the reach and effectiveness of the food bank's efforts to create a Mississauga where no one goes hungry, including advocacy work through government relations and civic engagement.
In addition to her love for the nonprofit sector, she loves long-distance running, all the Marvel content, sharing baked goods, and exploring her new city with her wife, Sonya.
